OTHER ACTIVITIES: In the period 1983-1990, I have worked as a translator and documentarist at the Institute for Social and Human Researches of the Romanian Academy, in Targu-Mures. I have also continued my researches related to comparative literature, especially to British-Romanian literary relations.
ACADEMIC ACTIVITY: In 1990, I have been promoted as a scientific researcher at the same Institute. My first theme of research has been "The Reception of English Literature by the Romanian Writers, in the first half of the 19th Century"
PRE-DOCTORAL STAGE: March 28, 1994 - July 13, 2000
 In 1997, I have been promoted as senior scientific researcher:
 1998-2000: teaching at "Petru Maior" University of Targu-Mures, at the Faculty of History-English;
 July 13, 2000; I have defended my PhD dissertation entitled: "THE IMAGE OF THE ROMANIANS AS SEEN BY BRITISH TRAVELLERS"
